Hopkins, UBNS chairman UBNS chairman Dr. L.N. Hopkins has been named the 2009 Founder's Laurel recipient by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). CNS presented the award to Dr. Hopkins on October 28 at their 59th Annual Meeting in New Orleans. The Founder's Laurel recognizes exceptional service, lifelong dedication and meritorious accomplishments in the field of medical education. It is bestowed annually to a qualified individual who has made outstanding contributions in the realm of education. Past winners include: David G. Piepgras (2004); John A. Jane, Sr. (2005); Albert L.
